How do I get my Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET) document?
To access your VMET, go to milConnect.
- Log in by clicking the Sign In button in the top right corner. You can log in with your CAC or DS Logon.
- In the top navigation, click on Correspondence/Documentation and a dropdown will appear. In the dropdown, select DOD Transition Assistance Program.
- You will be shown your transition dashboard. Click the VMET tab.
- On the new page, you will be given the option to access your VMET or a cover letter. Select the radio button for VMET and click the Submit button. Your VMET will download as a PDF document to your computer which you can upload to a MilGears tool (Engage My Career, Mil-2-Mariner, or Cyber IT/CSWF) or use as a reference document for filling out the tool.
- Save the file to a location that is easily accessible to you.
